Hillsdale Golf Club - Terminology

General Rules
  1. The voucher system is employed for all club services.
  2. CASH TRANSACTIONS AND TIPPING OF ALL EMPLOYEES INCLUDING CADDIES ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
  3. NO MEMBER MAY PERSONALLY REPRIMAND ANY EMPLOYEE. Complaints pertaining to employees are to be made in writing directly to the office.
  4. The Club and its staff shall not be responsible to members, their families or guests for the loss, theft or damage to personal effects or golf equipment. Members are asked to carry their own insurance to cover possible loss.
  5. Members will be held responsible for damages to Club property.
  6. The use of wireless devices in telephone mode is not permitted anywhere on club property.
  7. Strollers and baby carriages are not permitted in the Clubhouse or locker rooms.
  8. Pets are not permitted on club property.
  9. Should a Club Official find it necessary to draw attention to a member's infringement of a rule, such member shall at once conform to the rule. Refusal to do so shall be reported to the Grievance and Rules Enforcement Committee.
  10. Members are PERMITTED to speak on their cellular telephones in the following areas only:
  • On the golf course;
  • In the Men’s and Ladies’ locker rooms;
  • In the pool area;
  • In the parking lot.
Members may NOT speak on their cellular telephones anywhere else on Club property.
Cellular phones must be in “silent” or “vibrate” mode at all times
Cellular phone privileges may be revoked if they are not used respectfully, or if they slow pace of play on the golf course.

Pace of Play
  1. If a group fails to keep its pace on the course (including tournament matches), the Marshal may ask the players to speed up play.
  2. If the Marshal has to intervene a second time, the players must pick up their balls and advance to the next hole. This has been adapted in Section 1 of the Rules of Golf and thus is not a matter of courtesy, but is mandatory.
  3. In the event that a group is waved through by players in front, that group has the obligation to play through without delay.
  4. Players should play “ready-to-hit golf”, putt continuously when possible and use electric carts properly.
General Golf Rules
  1. Playing in more than foursomes is prohibited.
  2. Practicing to and on regular greens is prohibited.
  3. Under no circumstances shall any player “cut in” on any hole.
  4. No golfer shall play until the match ahead is out of range.
  5. Bunker rakes should be left OUTSIDE the bunker.
  6. Players should replace all divots, repair ball marks on greens and repair tee areas.
Club Property Including Clubhouse
All members and their guests are required to conform to dress regulations on club property and in the Clubhouse outlined below.
  1. Men are required to remove their hats and visors in the Grill Room, Dining Room and lounges.
  2. Jeans that are not unsightly may be worn in the Clubhouse.
  3. Shirts and shoes must be worn everywhere, except in the pool area or locker room.
  4. Dining attire is specific to the event.
  5. There shall be no exposed bathing attire, except in the pool area.
Golf Course and All Practice Areas
All members and their guests are required to conform to dress regulations for the golf course, driving range and all practice areas outlined below. We ask at all times that discretion and good sense govern in order to avoid embarrassment. Members are asked to inform their guests of the dress regulations before they arrive at the club.

Men
  1. Polo collars or visible mock neck golf shirts with sleeves are acceptable.
  2. All shirts must be tucked into pants.
  3. Bermuda shorts (no more than 3 inches above the knee) are permitted.
  4. Socks must be worn at all times.
  5. Denim, coloured jeans or jean shorts, jogging suits, sweat pants, rugby pants, cargo pants or shorts (multi pocketed), tennis shorts, sleeveless tops, T-shirts and tank tops are not permitted.
  6. Garments or hats containing advertising words or logos are not permitted with the exception of charitable institutions, golf clubs and golf related insignias.
  7. All golf caps must be worn with the peaks facing forward.
Women
  1. Slacks and skirts are permitted.
  2. Golf shorts must be of an appropriate length.
  3. Socks must be worn at all times.
  4. Warm up suits and proper rain attire are also allowed.
  5. All shirts must be tucked in or must be two inches below the waistline if worn outside.
  6. Any sleeveless shirt must have a collar.
  7. Any collarless shirt must have sleeves, with the exception of a high, round neckline shirt, which can be sleeveless.
  8. All golf caps must be worn with peaks facing forward.
  9. Tank tops, strapless tops, tennis length shorts, short shorts, leggings, bicycle shorts, tights or mini skirts, jogging suits, sweat pants, blue denim jeans or rugby pants are not permitted.

Siam Country Club Pattaya Plantation - Terminology

The Regulations are implemented for the benefits of all golfers in using the golf course, as follows
  1. Golf rules of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews and local rules of Siam Country Club Golf Course shall be applied.
  2. Members may invite guests to the golf course every day, maximum 4 guests on weekdays and 3 guests on weekends and holidays.
  3. Groups: 3.1 All guests of the Golf Course are required to use golf carts. 3.2 All golfers must register at the pro-shop prior to play.
  4. The Golf Course welcomes up to 1 month advance T-time reservation. The reservation can be made on Mondays through Sundays from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. by providing name, Membership Identification Number, and number of golfers. Cancellation must be notified to the Golf Course via telephone or facsimile transmission in advance at least 48 hours prior to the reserved tee time. The Golf Course may suspend Member's right to advance tee time reservation for 1 month as a result of failure to such notification.
  5. Golfers have to report to the Started at least 10 minutes prior to tee off time and must be ready to tee off. Any lateness may result in a delayed tee time or a cancellation of the game for the day.
  6. Groups of two players may be able to play their game in some occasions but are not entitled to advance tee time reservations. Advance reservations are for groups of at least 3 golfers. Two players may be asked to join with other group.
  7. Non-handicapped golfers may not be entitled to play on weekends and holidays.
  8. Please be generous by permitting other golfers to join up with your group as coordinated and arranged by a Starter or a Marshal.
  9. The Golf Course reserves its rights to close the golf course for tournament competition. Competition schedule will be posted in front of the Club House 15 days in advance. Competition players have priority in sequencing over other golfers.
  10. Golfers should be properly attired at all time, including wearing shirts with collar, keeping shirt under trousers, and etc. Golfers should use only soft-spiked golf shoes, and no metal-spiked shoes are allowed. No non-shirts are allowed.
  11. Golfers should use their own golf clubs and bag. No joint-uses of golf clubs and bag in the same group are allowed.
  12. Each Golfer must hire one caddy to carry the golf bag. Self golf bag carrying or cart pulling is not allowed.
  13. The golf game must be started from hole 1 or hole 10. Tee off from any other holes must be approved by the Starter.
  14. Golfers should play without undue delays or create interruptions to the following group or other groups.
  15. Golfers should remind their caddies to replace divots, repair ball marks, rake the bunkers, or fix tracing on greens in every applicable occasion. If a caddy fails to follow the reminder, please report caddy's name and caddy number to a Marshal or management.
  16. No practices or lessons are allowed in the golf course.
  17. No children under 8 years are permitted to enter and use the golf course.
  18. Starters and Marshals are to provide their services to golfers to ensure enjoyment of golf games according to the rules and regulations. Please support theses officers to conduct their duties fairly and honestly. Please report the management of any misconduct.
  19. No spectators or companions are allowed in the golf course.
  20. No food and drink from outside are allowed in the golf course.
  21. All golfers are required to observe cleanliness and well-mannered in the golf course.
  22. In the event that the game of golf is unplayable due to heavy rain, golfers must wait for signal from the golf course to continue play.
  23. No gambling is allowed in the golf course.
  24. In case a golf ball has been hit out of course, the golfer has to assume full and all responsibilities and liabilities against all claims for losses or damages, including deaths and injuries, occurred from such out-of-course golf ball. Such accident must be reported to an officer of the Golf Course immediately.
  25. All yardages on sprinkler heads are measured to the centre of green.
  26. The company and Golf Course will not be responsible or liable for any injuries, accidents, and deaths in the golf course area including lost or damages of valuables and properties under any circumstances.
  27. Gofers should strictly comply with the Golf Couse's Rules and Regulations at all time. Offenders are subject to punishments as the Executive Committee deems appropriate.
  28. All yardages on sprinkler heads are measured to the centre of green.
Regulations for Use of Golf Carts

The Regulations are implemented for the benefits of all golfers in using golf carts, as follows
  1. Golfers requiring a rental golf cart are subjected to rate specified by the Executive Committee. One golf cart is limited to one golfer, and caddie shall be the only Driver of the golf cart. One golf cart is limited to no more than one golfer and two caddies.
  2. Golfers will be responsible for any and all damages, except normal deterioration, occurred while in use or in possession.
  3. Golf carts must be on designated drive ways only of either "cart path only" or "90 degree" rule. A"cart path only" rule is applied to all par 3s.
  4. When a "cart path only" rule is in effect, a golf cart must remain on a cart path at all times.
  5. Signs, poles, rope lines, or any direction marks must be followed without exceptions.
Regulations for Clubhouses and Facilities Uses

The Regulations are implemented for the benefits of all members in using the Clubhouse, as follows
  1. The Clubhouse is opened daily from 06:00 a.m. to 08:00 p.m. A notice will be posted in advance in the event that a special function is planned.
  2. During the month of May to October, the Clubhouse and Golf Course will be closed every Monday except where it falls on public holiday, which it will be closed on the following day. The close of business on Monday during this period is not a permanent schedule and may change from time to time as it deems appropriate. A schedule of Monday closing will be posted in the Clubhouse.
  3. The Clubhouse is a private property which is reserved for members, guests of members, and guests of the Golf Course only.
  4. Persons who are entitled to use the Clubhouse and facilities are members, guest of members, and guests of the Golf Course.
  5. Persons who are entitled to use the Clubhouse and facilities are to be responsible for safety and proper behavior, including any activities which may cause disturbance or damage to any other persons, of their children and guests when using the Clubhouse and facilities.
  6. The Golf Course shall not be held responsible for losses or damages of properties of Members or guests. Personal belongings such as sport accessories, toiletries, and clothes may be kept in provided lockers in the locker room. All valuables such as jewelries and money must be carried along at all times.
  7. No pets are allowed in the Golf Course and the Clubhouse area.
  8. No sleeping in the Clubhouse is allowed
  9. Driver should not enter the Clubhouse without a necessary cause.
  10. No food and drink from outside are allowed in the Clubhouse.
  11. No Clubhouse's items inside the locker room are allowed to be carried out.
  12. No gambling is allowed in the Clubhouse or the Golf Course.
  13. Members and guests are required to observe cleanliness, and orderly manners.
  14. Members and guests should be properly attired. Shirts with collar are preferable. Soft rubber spike shoes are preferable, and no metal spike shoes are allowed. Shirts must be worn at all times.
  15. Members and guests should properly behave and use only polite words at all times.
